The wizard is complete!!!!!

So I've finally finished my smoking wizard(11X25 inches). It was originally for a tattoo but the individual backed out at the last moment. So, with some minor changes, it's done! I've been thinking about maybe using it for my new business card, but I've got another painting coming up. I guess I'll choose after.

I'm sick, fuck!!!!

So, a little update. I have come down with a cold, probably from shoveling all that snow in vans slip ons. Still managing to keep busy anyway. Finally tattooed my brother, a late birthday gift. Almost done working on those flash cards, shouldn't be too much longer. Working on a huge painting for the shop of a wizard, I might use it for a business card. Here's a sneak peek below, along with the flash cards, my brothers tattoo and a zombie deer head.

A few new things!!!!

Finally, the Die hard version of Electric Wizards Black Masses was available for pre-order today. Its been a long month waking up early and going to bed late to catch this one, but I've got it!

Nergal, lead singer from Behemoth has found a match!!!!!!! You can read all about it here:

Had a really great week. Went out on a date with Yannie, hahaha! Had some time to finish some paintings and start new ones. Here's two of them. One is for the boys at Perfect Image in Banff. I was suppose to go out there late Dec to work but due to the over priced airline tickets, we had to cancel. FUCKING SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!

The other painting is for my mom, it was her Birthday Day on Sunday.
Tattooed my boss Hugo on Friday, I'll post a healed pic soon.

Currently, I'm working on a wizard painting for the shop and some flash cards. Shouldn't take too long, I'll post them when  they're completed.

Also, this Friday is Watain at Fous!!!!!!! Everything you've heard about the band is true. Really excited for this show. Saturday is Montreal is Doomed Festival with Blood Ceremony at Katabombs, another great show.

Birthday present for a special lady!

So the painting has a little story behind it. The painting was done for Yannies grandmothers birthday. Her grandmother Cecile, is always commenting on my rose tattoos. So, after talking with Yannie, we decided why not do a painting, that maybe we could turn into a tattoo for her? So voila! The tattoo won't be exactly like the painting since its quite big, but with some minor adjustments this grandmother will have her 1st tattoo! It was a pleasure doing this for you Cecile, Happy Birthday again!

I just finished the painting today, coffee stain and all. All the paintings will be on permanent display in his shop. So a big thanks to Polly for letting me get involved in this, and a huge congratulations to Sailor Jerry Swallow!

Traditional flash!!!!!

So I got the idea to start painting traditional flash cards and sticking them into one big frame. I love the old timer shops when the walls were covered in hand painted flash. So, keeping that in mind, I decided to start my own. Each card is about 4X6 inches. I've got a really big frame so I'm guessing I going to need about 30. This is what I have done so far.

Keeping busy!

So I've been influenced and found a new respect for the traditional tattoo art. I'm currently working on a set of 36 flash cards which will be framed at Mtl Tattoo. Like you see in the old timer shops, those cards roughly 4X6 inches. This is going to be a fun project and I'm really excited about it.
So today, I start my day with coffee, Watain and rough comps!

Calgary Tattoo Convention 2010!!!

Last weekend, Yannie, Travis and myself attended the Calgary Tattoo Convention 2010. Let's just say we had a great time and Yannie and I are going back late December for about a week.

Here are some pictures of the booth and some tats that I did.
Once again, thanks to the West for the great times!
